Starring Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta, Zayed Khan and Sanjay Dutt and is directed by hot new film director Anthony D’Souza. With music by none other than Mr. A.R Rahman and a special song by Kyle Minogue you don’t want to miss it. Saavn was lucky enough to get a sneak peak from Anthony himself!
1) What inspired such an interesting topic?
Water and the for love my ocean life. I thought to myself let me make something about the ocean since it always fascinates me and I wanted to make something adventurous that would be challenging for me as well as the actors.
2) Was the crew scared working so close to sharks?
The crew I used were people who have worked with ocean life earlier, we were the ones scared to work with all the ocean life! But everyone was well versed and trained, so during the shoot there were no fears whatsoever of being close to the water.
3) How was it working with such an all star cast?
In three words… amazing, awesome, spellbounding!
4) I heard Kylie Minogue is doing a number in the film why did you choose her ?
I’ve been a fan of Kylie since I was younger and the producer asked me to use an artist, since I’ve always been such a fan so I thought why not!
5) Favorite track from the film?
As of right now it’s the one with Kylie! But it keeps changing based on my mood of the day.
6) What were the weather conditions like? How did the crew handle that? Were there a lot of delays considering you were working so closely with nature?
Bahamas it rained, in Bangkok it rained even more, so we spent a lot of time waiting for the skies to clear up.
7) Adventure films are scarce in Indian cinema is that something you think will change after the release of Blue?
I’m not hoping to change anything but I do hope that people enjoy my movie. I’m not here to change anything about Indian Cinema. Film makers don’t change cinema, the audience changes cinema.
8) When did you know you wanted to direct?
For as long as I could remember, I couldn’t think of anything else and if you can get paid to do something you like doing then why should you do anything else.
9) How is this film different from your previous work in the industry?
Well it’s my first film so it’s a lot longer!
